# Mass following: a short definition

MASS FOLLOWING on Instagram means automatically following other users’ profiles, which are usually selected automatically too. Selection generally uses target #hashtags chosen by the customer before the order starts. Besides following, the software likes some photographs on the profiles it follows.

## How the response is explained

Mass following (MF) is primarily intended to prompt a response from the people being followed. The logic is: “If someone likes my posts and follows me, I will look at their profile and follow back if I like it”… Its effectiveness therefore depends heavily on the content published by the account doing the following.
