A huge number of Instagram users over the past two weeks could not log in to a personal profile through the use of a mobile application. It is worth noting that sources of official nature did not provide explanations about the causes of the problems.

What is a sentry ban?
So… Millions of users simultaneously could not log in through the official app, although browser access was still possible;
Predictably, Instagram representatives made absolutely no comment on the matter;
A detailed examination of the API response source revealed the sentryblock error. Its approximate translation, “sentry block”, gave rise to the name “sentry ban”.
To date, we have found a solution to this problem. Yes, innovative functionality has been successfully implemented in ARC Following, but until today clients still could not access their profiles.
The procedure described by the authors
To solve the problem, take these steps:
- Log in to your Instagram profile via instagram.com
- Open the profile settings using this link: https://www.instagram.com/accounts/edit
Clicking “Temporarily disable my account” at the bottom will temporarily deactivate the profile.
https://www.instagram.com/accounts/remove/request/temporary. When explaining the temporary deactivation, you can say you need a short break from the social network.
The social network will almost immediately block your profile (this will happen within just a few hours). All you need to do is sign in through the app.
It is worth noting that after passing this procedure, you can log in to the profile through the official Instagram application.
